Thunderbird Marina, with its Lake Union location and easy access to major highways, the Ballard Locks and Lake Washington, has been a prime location for boaters for nearly a century. This means the Marina was in operation when Gas Works Park, was a gasification plant. The Marina predates the Space Needle by 40 years!

Over the decades the Marina has seen growth and continual improvements such as, new docks, new electrical, grated decking, dock boxes, covered moorage, secure access, and video monitoring.
